چکیده
Atmosphere a system that plays a vital role in many natural processes, such as the formation of the global climate, the composition of the chemical components of the oceans and seas. The penetration of the earth’s surface solar radiation and heat the delay in the earthly space, depends on the gas composition of the atmosphere [1]. The problem of air pollution one of the greatest global challenges faced by humanity. Risk of air pollution not only in the fact that clean air fall harmful substances harmful to living organisms, but also causes contamination of the Earth’s climate change [2,3]. Air pollution (atmosphere) due to human activities has led to the fact that over the past 200 years, the concentration of carbon dioxide has increased by almost 30%. Nevertheless, humanity continues to burn fossil fuels and destroying forests [4,5]. The process is too colossal, that leads to global environmental problems. Air pollution occurs as a result of other human activities. Fuel combustion in thermal power plants is accompanied by the release of sulfur dioxide. With car exhaust gases emitted into the atmosphere of nitrogen oxides. When incomplete combustion carbon monoxide is formed [6,7].

Adsorption of Ammonia on Regenerable Carbon Sorbents
Results are presented on the development of reversible sorbents for the combined carbon dioxide, moisture, and trace-contaminant (TC) removal for use in Extravehicular Activities (EVAs), and more specifically in the Primary Life Support System (PLSS). The currently available life support systems use separate units for carbon dioxide, trace contaminants, and moisture control, and the long-term o...
متن کاملSorption of Aromatic Compounds with Copolymer Sorbent Materials Containing β-Cyclodextrin
Urethane copolymer sorbent materials that incorporate β-cyclodextrin (CD) have been prepared and their sorption properties with chlorinated aromatic compounds (i.e., pentachlorophenol, 2,4-dichlorophenol and 2,4-dichlorophenoxy acetic acid) have been evaluated. The sorption properties of granular activated carbon (GAC) were similarly compared in aqueous solution at variable pH conditions. The s...

The sorption efficiencies of graphene oxide (GO) and functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (f-MWCNTs) were investigated and elucidated to study their potential in treating acid mine drainage (AMD) containing Cu2+, Mn2+, Zn2+, Pb2+, Fe3+ and Cd2+ metal ions. Several layered GO nanosheets and f-MWCNTs were formed via the modified Hummers’ method and the acid treatment of the MWCNTs, respec...
متن کاملSorbents for Trapping Organic Pollutants From Air.
A series of siliceous adsorbents with chemically bonded phases (CBPs) of different polarity were tested as sorbents for trapping air pollutants (petroleum ether) using controlled setup. Moreover, special attention was paid to the potential role of metal impurities as strong adsorption sites. Sorbents were characterized by various physico-chemical methods, such as porosimetry, inductively couple...

Alginate biopolymer, due to possessing a high capacity and affinity for heavy metals, is a suitable material for the removal of metals from polluted waters; however, the weak structural consistency of alginate hydogels limits the practical application of this natural polymer in water purification practices. In this study, sepiolite clay mineral was used as a solidifier of alginate hydrogel to p...
